Well, we went out to finish Chase's Eagle project today and got asked to come help get a horse out of the creek. For some reason the horse fell off the bridge about 6 feet down and couldn't get back up. We tried to pull him out but it quickly became obvious that we weren't going to be able to get him out. The poor lady responsible for her friend's horse was just beside herself. Soon, the owner was called, then horse rescue, and a vet. After about 1 1/2 hours of trying to pull the horse out and the horse exhausting himself and getting more stuck, the rescuers came with their forklift and lifting straps. As you can tell by the pictures, it was quite an ordeal to get everything into place to get this horse the help he needed. We also got the project almost completed. As you can see, it's quite an accomplishment for a young man to design and build, (with dad's help and the help of friends), this kiosk for the use of those using the Whipplecreek horse trails.Posted by The Horrocks Family in Vancouver, Washington at 7:24 PM 1 comments
